Making a difference
At Pine Mtn Sports we recognize that our community is growing. As our population increases, the needs and demands of our social services here in Central Oregon are also increasing. We believe that it’s our responsibility to embrace and support those who are working hard to serve our neighbors in need – and we are asking for your help.
In 2016, We began building a team of “Community Ambassadors” made up of local businesses and individuals. Pine Mtn Sports and its Community Ambassadors support a single local charity through community outreach and fundraising for an entire year. Through this, we can all Resolve To Be Involved, knowing that we can truly make a difference when we take action together.
We need your help to achieve our goal of creating 200 Community Ambassadors! Each Ambassador pledges to consider a direct donation of $500 to the year’s designated non-profit. This dedicated group can generate $1000’s of dollars every year to make a huge difference for our local non-profits, our neighbors that they serve, and our objective of making Bend a better place for all of its residents.

The Giving Plate
We are honored to announce that our 2023 Community Ambassador Program beneficiary is The Giving Plate, Central Oregon’s largest food pantry. This amazing community resource serves over 3,500 individuals per month who are battling food insecurity. Most of which are our housed neighbors and thousands of children. Furnish Hope
In 2022, you helped us raise and donate $66,403 to Furnish Hope! You bought bike raffle tickets, made cash donations, donated at Powderhound, shopped with us on Black Friday, and filled your growlers – all to help Furnish Hope! Your dollars helped to create stability and a sense of belonging by providing the essentials that make a home… Bedding, a lamp to read by, cookware and dishes to prepare and serve a meal, a vacuum, or even a bunkbed. These are the items that can make the difference when a struggling, unhoused family needs to get out of a difficult situation and into a stable, comforting, and long-term home. Thank you! Learn More
Family Kitchen
In 2021, we’ve raised an amazing total of $104,984 for Family Kitchen! This total comes from a mix of our Community Ambassadors who donated $500 each, and our 2021 fundraisers that included our AnyBikeYouWant Raffle, 50% of our Black Friday sales, and our Deschutes Brewery Growler Fills. Every one of these dollars raised in 2021 goes to providing free meals to our neighbors in Bend that need a hot, nutritious meal. When we started in 2016 we had a goal of being able to generate $100K in a year for our non-profit. Thank you all for helping to make this number happen! Learn More
Saving Grace of Central Oregon
In 2020, despite the most unpredictable year ever, you helped us raise $60,754.00 for Saving Grace of Central Oregon! A large part of this grand total comes from our awesome Pine Mountain Sports Community Ambassadors who donated $500 each. This years fundraising events including our Juliana bike raffle, a virtual Powderhound Preview, and donating 50% of our Black Friday sales. Every dollar raised provides essential services for those experiencing domestic violence and sexual assault in Central Oregon. Learn More
Cascade Youth & Family Center
In 2019, we raised $73,380 for Cascade Youth & Family Center. This total comes from a mix of our Community Ambassadors who donated $500 each, and our 2019 fundraisers that included Trek & Santa Cruz bike raffles, our Parrilla Grill taco feed, 50% of our Black Friday sales, and our Deschutes Brewery Growler Fills. Every dollar raised goes directly to prevention, intervention, and crisis services for Central Oregon adolescents and their families. Thank you all for helping to make this number happen! Learn More
Family Access Network
In 2018, we raised $65,430 for Family Access Network. FAN improves lives by ensuring that children have access to basic need services. They are unique to Central Oregon with a dedicated FAN Advocate located in every public school in Deschutes and Crook County. FAN advocates connect children and parents to essential services such as food, shelter, heating, health care, clothing and more. FAN advocates serve nearly 9,000 children and family members in our community each year and support our most needy families, removing barriers and paving the way for a child’s success. Learn More
Volunteers in Medicine - Clinic of the Cascades
In 2017, our growing Community Ambassador program raised $34,311 for Volunteers In Medicine – Clinic of the Cascades! Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) provides healthcare on a donation basis to low-income, working adults who live in Central Oregon and have no medical insurance or means to pay for care. This fundraising effort included our Parrilla Grill Fundraiser during The Blitz, August Pint Nights at Deschutes Brewery, our Deschutes Red Chair Growler Fills for VIM event with Hydo Flask, and the showcasing of our Community Ambassador Program efforts during our Powderhound Preview & Fundraiser at the Tower Theatre! CASA of Central Oregon
In 2016, our first year of the Community Ambassador program raised nearly $23,000 for CASA of Central Oregon. These Court Appointed Special Advocates are working tirelessly to serve and represent the 500+ and growing number of foster children right here in our community. Our 2016 fundraising effort included the very generous taco sale and Parrilla Grill Fundraiser that was held at Tetherow during The Blitz and the showcasing of our Community Ambassador Program efforts during our Powderhound Preview & Fundraiser at the Tower Theatre.
