Pine Mtn Sports has the largest fleet of demo mountain bikes in Central Oregon. Why so many? We are a mountain-bike and gravel-bike store that prides ourselves in having most all of the new Juliana, Santa Cruz, and Trek mountain bikes available for our bike-shopping customers to demo – before you buy. That also means that if you need to rent a mountain bike while in Bend, you’ve come to the right store to find the widest selection of current, high-end mountain bikes.

Yes, you do! The easiest way to quickly see what trails are open and riding well is to visit our friends at BendTrails.org as well as The Dirty Freehub – then make sure and ask our staff for a recommendation. 

Reserve Your Bike

Please use our online booking rental system! It’s fast, convenient, and easy! You can also come into the shop and we can help get you registered in-person as well. (Registrations cannot be conducted over the phone unless you already have an online rental account with us)! All reservations are 100% refundable up until the time of pick up, so don’t hesitate to reserve well in advance. 

You must have a safe/secure way to transport and store bikes ( stacking bikes is not allowed). You are responsible for any damages that are done to the bike(s), gear, or parts during your rental. We have one rack (that can accommodate 2-4 bikes) and a handful of pickup pads available for rent! We’re an easy 2-mile pedal to the dirt and Phil’s Trailhead so simply riding from the shop is easy. Guided mountain bike tours and shuttles are provided 3-miles up the road by our friends at Cog Wild Bicycle Tours. 

Rental Policy for Days the Shop is Closed – Customers are responsible for the total rental cost for all rental equipment in their possession when Pine Mtn Sports is closed for the following reasons: Federal Holidays (includes any early closures and late openings), staff retreats and Inventory days. To see which dates apply, check our Events Calendar. If you want to avoid additional charges for rentals over these dates, please return your rental during business hours before the scheduled closure.

All rentals & demo bikes include: Giro helmet, Spurcycle trail bell, bottle cage, and choice of pedals. Let us know if you are bringing your own pedals and saddle. Repair kits: (pump, tire levers, tube) are available to rent for $5 per day. Repair kits should be returned as they were handed out. If any items are missing or used customers will be charged to replace those item(s) at retail value.  Cable locks are also available upon request. 

Try before you buy! Shopping for a new bike? Try it before you buy it and we’ll give you up to 3-rentals back towards purchase. 

Did You Fall in Love?

If you rent a bike and decide that you can’t live without it, we’ll gladly put your rental fee towards the purchase of a new bike.
