MOVIE NIGHT @ McMENAMINS
LINE OF SIGHT
Old. St Francis School Theater
9:00 p.m. | $5 per person | 21 & over
Come join Bend Velo and Pine Mountain Sports for an evening of cheering, booing, and grimacing at some of the scariest (and skilled) riding ever captured on film.
Line of Sight collects ten years of crazy-amazing footage from underground Alleycat bicycle races around the world to create one of the most entertaining and controversial bike movies in years. Cyclists (and filmmakers) blast thru oncoming traffic, bustling cities, law enforcement, and pedestrians while chasing victory (and incredible film) at any cost.
It’s both impressive and nerve-wracking, and Line Of Sight may serve as a reminder that every time we get on our bike and ride down the road, we are advocates and ambassadors for cycling. As cyclists, we are in a vulnerable position; but we are not without our own responsibilities, both to ourselves and to the cycling community at large.
At what point does your riding style impact more than just you? Let’s watch and discuss.
This September, Movie Night at McMenamins will raise funds and awareness for the Bicycle Messenger Emergency Relief Fund, Commute Options, and Safe Routes to Schools as well as Central Oregon Trail Alliance.
