Learn How to Tune and Wax Your Skis: Free Clinic

The first recorded instruction for ski wax application was probably given by Johannes Scheffer in Argentoratensis Lapponiæ (History of Lapland) in 1673. He advised skiers to use pine tar pitch and rosin. Over 300 years later Pine Mountain Sports owner Dan McGarigle continues the tradition (this time with wax, an iron and some plastic scrapers) in free clinics that will cover the basics on how to tune and wax your skis at home. Lessons in the clinic can be applied to all types of skis and snowboards, and yes even your “waxless” cross country skis still need a hot wax.

* Reservations required; 12 people per session.
* Call 541-385-8080 to register. No need to bring your skis.

Dan will be hosting clinics on the first and third Tuesday of every month throughout the winter.
